How does Flow VIT® work?

Flow VIT® technology is characterized by maximum specificity and speed. The reason for this is the specifically programmed VIT® (vermicon identification technology) gene probes, which bind directly in the sample material to target structures in the associated living microorganisms. The automatic evaluation of the results is carried out with a special VIT® adapted flow cytometer and takes only a few minutes. Flow VIT® technology takes microbiological quality control to a new level.

 

Specificity

The Flow VIT® technology was developed especially for the needs of industrial microbiology. The VIT® gene probes are highly specific for individual species or entire groups of microorganisms. All our know-how from 20 years of research and development in gene probe technology is concentrated in the design of the gene probes and their highly specific and safe application.

Speed

Thanks to the extremely easy-to-use Flow VIT® test kits, in which the procedure has been radically simplified with just a few steps, and the automatic evaluation using the CyFlow® Cube 6 flow cytometer, the results are available within a very short time.

Objectivity

Thanks to the use of flow cytometry, "the human factor" no longer plays a role in the evaluation. The target cells illuminated by VIT® are detected and evaluated quickly and reliably.
