Exact profiling of the most important populations of denitrifying bacteria in wastewater samples is carried out. The following groups of denitrifying bacteria are identified and quantified directly in the wastewater sample: Paracoccus spp., Hyphomicrobium spp., Azoarcus-Thauera-Cluster, Saprospiraceae.
