The qPCR Prep AMR test kit was specifically developed for the purification of wastewater samples to enable reliable and robust qPCR analysis using the qPCR VIT® AMR I and AMR II test kits. Microbial DNA is efficiently isolated and purified from complex wastewater samples, thereby laying the foundation for reproducible and meaningful qPCR results.
The qPCR Prep AMR test kit enables a standardized and efficient workflow for sample preparation in the laboratory. The optimized purification process reduces the influence of the complex wastewater matrix and provides microbial DNA for the subsequent molecular biological detection of selected antibiotic resistance genes via qPCR.
Integrating the test kit into the AMR workflow ensures consistent analytical conditions. This supports the comparability of results across different samples, measurement time points, and testing locations.

The AMR workflows developed by vermicon AG are being used as part of the German AMELAG project for the molecular biological qPCR analysis of antibiotic resistance genes in wastewater.
