Detection of biofilm forming bacteria

The monitoring and systematic combat and avoidance of biofilm formation plays a major role in paper mills. Indicator organisms for early biofilm formation primarily are bacteria of the genus Tepidimonas and Cloacibacterium. With the detection kit VIT® Cloacibacterium, these microorganisms can be detected directly on site - safely and reliably. 

An ideal complement to our kit VIT® Tepidimonas – detect both indicator organisms for biofilm formation in time.

The analysis is easy to conduct – only few minutes hands-on time. VIT® analysis is performed directly on an aliquot of the sample material. The results are provided within 3 hours. Evaluation is done with a fluorescence microscope. All essential expendable materials required for analysis are contained in the kit. Package size: 25 analyses.

Analysis can be performed with following samples:

  • biofilms (direct)
  • (process) water (direct)
  • isolates (direct)  

 

The kit is the ideal complement to VIT® Tepidimonas.
