Nitrifying bacteria detailed analysis

Generation of an exact, quantitative profile of ammonia oxidizing and
nitrite oxidizing bacteria populations in wastewater samples

Item Number: 01120002

Lab analysis: identification of all nitrifying bacteria

Exact profiling of the individual ammonia- and nitrite-oxidizing bacteria populations in wastewater samples (biofilms and carrier material, too). Analysis is carried out using a set of genus- and species-specific gene probes for the different bacteria. In total 11 different populations are analyzed. Table of identified species is available on request.

Per each population, results are given as percentage of the overall living bacterial flora. This service is ideal for comparing the populations of nitrifying bacteria in different wastewater treatment plants e. g. for planning inoculation procedures after failures or breakdowns of nitrification processes.

The report includes an informative photo documentation that visualizes the individual populations of nitrifying bacteria in the sample material.

Quantitative detection

Which method is applied?
The reliable VIT® gene probe technology.

Which requirements are important?
Please request our simple protocol for fixation of wastewater samples. Make sure that you fixate/stabilize your samples in the indicated manner before sending the samples to us.

Alternatively, the simple nitrifying bacteria analysis is also available.

For a quick analysis directly on-site, choose our test kit Nitri-VIT®

Your Advantages

  • specific identification of individual nitrifying bacteria populations

  • quantification of individual nitrifying bacteria populations

  • detection of living bacteria exclusively

  • ideal for comparison of different plants / analysis samples
