Lab analysis - bacteria population profile of wastewater samples

Generation of a cultivation-independent profile of all bacteria in the sample. Abundant bacteria are sorted according to their relationship to the most important main bacteria groups. These groups are ascertained quantitatively as percentage of the living bacteria flora. Not only known cultivable bacteria are detected but also so far unknown non-cultivable bacteria are sorted into existing main bacterial groups. Additionally the total cell amount (living and dead) is carried out. This service is ideal for generating a population profile of bacteria and archaea in a sample nondirectionally and without cultivation-dependent selection pressure.

The report contains a significant photo documentation that visualises the bacteria populations in the sample material.

Quantitative detection

Which method is applied?
The reliable VIT® gene probe technology.

Which requirements are important?
Please request our simple protocol for fixation of wastewater samples. Make sure that you fixate/stabilize your samples in the indicated manner before sending the samples to us.

Alternatively, we recommend a Premium population analysis.

Your Advantages

  • generation of an extensive bacteria profile at main group level

  • quantification of individual populations

  • only analysis of living bacteria and archaea
