Rapid molecular identification of unknown bacteria, yeasts & fungi by sequence analysis

MIS_001 Bacteria – Identification Partial 16S rDNA Amplification and sequencing of the partial 16S rRNA gene (500-800 bp). Sequences are compared to our high-performance databases and next related species are displayed with similarity values.
MIS_002 Bacteria – Identification Full 16S rDNA Amplification and sequencing of the complete 16S rRNA gene (approx. 1400 bp). Sequences are compared to our high-performance databases and next related species are displayed with similarity values.
MIS_003 Yeast – Identification Partial 26S rDNA Amplification and sequencing of the partial 26S rRNA gene (D1/D2 region). Sequences are compared to our high-performance databases and next related species are displayed with similarity values.
MIS_004 Yeast - Identification Full 18S rDNA Amplification and sequencing of the complete 18S rRNA gene. Sequences are compared to our high-performance databases and next related species are displayed with similarity values.
MIS_005 Fungi – Identification Partial 26S rDNA Amplification and sequencing of the partial 26S rRNA gene (D1/D2 region). Sequences are compared to our high-performance databases and next related species are displayed with similarity values.
MIS_006 Phylogenetic analysis of rDNA sequences Phylogenetic Tree The topologies of the consensus tree is evaluated by performing neighbour-joining, maximum parsimony and maximum likelihood analyses of different data sets.

Clearly indicate on sample submission form if cultures should be identified for bacteria, yeasts or fungi. Microbial identification can only performed with pure cultures

         

Pure culture:

Enrichment broth (10 ml) or agar plate with colonies

  DNA: Highly purified genomic DNA can be analysed
  Mixed cultures / environmental samples Isolation and purification of strains can be performed at extra cost, if required.
