Sample requirements

The requirements (type, volume, fixation) for samples submitted to service are specified in the corresponding service application.

Sample collection

Collect sample aseptically to avoid contamination.
Send samples as quickly as possible after collection.
vermicon is only accepting samples and strains of biological safety level 1 or 2.

Sample submission

Please include our sample submission form form to each shipment and fax the completed forms in advance to Fax-No.: +49 89 15882100.

Shipment

  • Please ship the samples in sturdy containers, which are capped thightly and sealed with a tape. Thereby each sample should be labelled unequivocally. To prevent breaking of the containers, please use packing material (bubble wrap tape, Styrofoam nuggets etc.) to pad out transport box.
  • Send samples under refrigerated conditions

Sample receipt

The receipt of all samples will be confirmed to the customer. Any sample receipt after 3:00 p.m. will not be considered received the next working day.

Priority service

A surcharge of 50% will be added to the standard price for weekend or public holiday service. Samples submitted for priority service require notification to their arrival. Please call +49(0)89 - 1 58 82 100 or send E-mail to service@vermicon.com.

Report

  • The report will be optionally send by fax or e-mail. Please indicate preferred type of report delivery on sample submission form.
  • Documentation of the results in form of micrographs is available on request.

Confidentiality

All information and generated data will be kept strictly confidential. Confidentially agreements can be signed on request.
